“By teaming up with MD Anderson Cancer Network, we’re combining the best of what we provide locally with the world-renown expertise of MD Anderson. Professionals in the medical field know the MD Anderson name very well, as it’s the gold standard for cancer care. Through our affiliation, we’ll help to raise the standard of cancer care in our community.” Bryan Mills, President and CEO, Community Health Network

Certified membership is a national quality improvement and best practices program based on the MD Anderson approach to multidisciplinary cancer care. It offers members access to MD Anderson clinical practice guidelines and best practices, as well as nationally accepted quality indicators, with the goal of improving and standardizing the quality of their oncology program.

Hospitals and health systems become members of MD Anderson Cancer Network following an extensive evaluation process to ensure they meet the highest standards for clinical quality, safety and patient care. Associated oncologists are also evaluated and certified by the network.

Member hospitals and their approved cancer specialists adopt MD Anderson’s evidence-based guidelines and treatment plans. In addition to diagnosis and treatment, certified members also have access to guidelines for cancer prevention, early detection and follow-up care. The membership offers certified physicians the ability to consult with MD Anderson physicians on patient treatment and can refer patients, if necessary, for treatment at MD Anderson.
